Description
With a cranberry tart flavor and cinnamon spice, this is no ordinary wheat bread!
Ingredients
- 1 ½ cups warm water
- 1 packet yeast, included
- WEM Light Wheat Bread Mix
- 1/2 cup dried cranberries
- 1 Tbsp mayonnaise
- 3 Tbsp sugar
- 2 tsp cinnamon
Icing (optional):
- 1 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1 Tbsp milk
Instructions
Bread Machine:
- Pour warm water, bread mix, cranberries, mayo, sugar, and cinnamon into the machine.
- Sprinkle yeast on top and follow machine instructions.
- Let bread cool.
- Cut loaf into slices and then cut slices into squares.
Conventional Oven:
- In a large bowl, stir yeast into warm water until dissolved.
- Whisk in bread mix and other ingredients.
- Place dough onto a floured surface and knead for 5 minutes.
- Put in an oiled bowl, cover, and let rise in a warm place until doubled.
- Shape dough into a loaf and put in oiled 9×5 loaf pan.
- Let rise in a warm place until doubled.
- Preheat oven to 375° and bake for 35 to 40 minutes.
- Let bread cool.
- Cut loaf into slices and then cut slices into squares.
Icing:
- Mix powdered sugar with milk.
- Drizzle on bread.
