Description

With a cranberry tart flavor and cinnamon spice, this is no ordinary wheat bread!

Ingredients

  • 1 ½ cups warm water
  • 1 packet yeast, included
  • WEM Light Wheat Bread Mix
  • 1/2 cup dried cranberries
  • 1 Tbsp mayonnaise
  • 3 Tbsp sugar
  • 2 tsp cinnamon

 

Icing (optional):

 

  • 1 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 Tbsp milk

 

Instructions

Bread Machine:
Pour warm water, bread mix, cranberries, mayo, sugar and cinnamon into machine.
Sprinkle yeast on top and follow machine instructions.
Let bread cool.
Cut loaf into slices and then cut slices into squares.

 

Conventional Oven:
In large bowl, stir yeast into warm water until dissolved.
Whisk in bread mix and other ingredients.
Place dough onto floured surface and knead for 5 minutes.
Put in oiled bowl, cover and let rise in warm place until doubled.
Shape dough into a loaf and put in oiled 9×5 loaf pan.
Let rise in warm place until doubled.
Preheat oven to 375° and bake for 35 to 40 minutes.
Let bread cool.
Cut loaf into slices and then cut slices into squares.

 

Icing: Mix powdered sugar with milk.
Drizzle on bread.
