Chocolaty, whole grain goodness!


  • 2 ounces unsweetened chocolate
  • 1/4 cup (4 tablespoons or 1/2 stick) butter or margarine
  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/2 cup WEM Organic Whole Wheat Flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts or pecans


Hands-on Time: 10-12 minutes
Baking Time: 30-35 minutes
Total Time: 45-50 minutes
Yield: 16-18 brownies

  1.  Preheat oven to 350°F.
  2. Grease a 9 X 9-inch baking pan.
  3. In a double boiler or microwave, melt the chocolate and butter together. Stir in honey and let cool. Stir in eggs and vanilla.
  4. In a separate bowl mix together flour and salt then add to chocolate mixture.
  5. Blend in nuts.
  6. Pour into the prepared pan.
  7. Bake 30-35 minutes until the top is dry or almost firm to the touch.
  8. Cool and cut into squares.
