Total Time: 1 hour 12-15 minutes
Yield: 1 9 X 5 Inch loaf

  1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees.
  2. Coat a 9 X 5-inch loaf pan heavily with cooking spray.
  3. In a large bowl, stir together dry ingredients.
  4. In a smaller bowl, mash bananas.
  5. Add butter, honey or sugar, eggs, and vanilla. Lowfat version: Add applesauce, buttermilk, egg whites, and vanilla.
  6. Fold in nuts or seeds
  7. Pour into loaf pan.
  8. Bake 50-60 minutes or until an inserted toothpick comes out clean.
  9. Cool on a rack and remove from pan.
