Wonderful breakfast bread!

Ingredients

  • War-Eagle-Mill-Thick-Rolled-Oats1 cup WEM Whole Wheat Flour
  • 1 cup WEM All Purpose Flour
  • 1 cup WEM Rolled Oats
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon ( or more depending on your preference)
  • 3/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup hot water
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1/3 cup honey or sorghum or brown sugar
  • 1/3 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

Instructions

  1. In small bowl, pour hot water over oats. Let sit while mixing rest of ingredients.
  2. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  3. Coat a 9 X 5 inch loaf pan with cooking spray.
  4. In large bowl, stir together dry ingredients.
  5. Add egg, honey, oil, and vanilla into soaked oatmeal.
  6. Stir wet ingredients into dry, mixing well.
  7. Turn into loaf pan.
  8. Bake 45-50 minutes.
