Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups WEM Whole Wheat Flour
  • 3/4 cup WEM Oat Bran
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder OR substitute with low sodium baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt OR omit salt or use salt substitute
  • 1/4 cup egg substitute or 2 egg whites, beaten
  • 1 1/2 cups skim milk
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil

Instructions

  1. Stir all ingredients together.
  2. Preheat waffle iron.
  3. Coat with cooking spray.
  4. Ladle batter into hot waffle iron.
  5. The Oat Bran will absorb moisture the longer it sits-add water as needed.
  6. Bake until golden.
