No-Knead Whole Wheat Bread

Baking Time: 25-30 minutes
Total Time: 1 hour 15 minutes including rise time

No excuse not to make bread with this super simple, delicious recipe!

Ingredients

  • 1 package active dry yeast
  • 1 1/4 cups warm water
  • 1 tablespoon honey or sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/2 cups WEM Whole Wheat Flour

Instructions

  1. In large bowl, dissolve yeast in warm water.
  2. Add honey, oil and salt.
  3. Stir in the whole wheat flour.
  4. Mix with an electric mixer or vigorously by hand for 3 minutes.
  5. Add all-purpose flour.
  6. Mix or stir 5 more minutes or until smooth.
  7. Coat a 9 X 5 X 3 inch loaf pan with cooking spray.
  8. Spoon dough into pan.
  9. Cover and let rise in a warm place for 20-30 minutes, until almost double in bulk.
  10. Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
  11. Bake 25-30 minutes.
