Cream Cheese Drop Danish

Fast, sweet and yummy!

Ingredients

  • 2 cups WEM Biscuit Mix
  • 3 tablespoons sugar
  • 4 tablespoons butter, margarine or vegetable oil
  • 2/3 cup milk
  • 4 tablespoons fruit jam (WEM Blueberry, Strawberry, Blackberry and Apricot are especially good!)

Cream Cheese Filling

      Stir together:

    • 3 ounces cream cheese softened, (low-fat works great!)
    • 1 tablespoon sugar
    • 1 tablespoon milk

Vanilla Glaze

Stir together:

  • 3/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla

Instructions

Make filling and glaze and set aside

Preheat oven to 450°F.

  1. Stir together biscuit mix and sugar.
  2. Cut butter or oil into mix with pastry cutter or in food processor until it resembles coarse meal.
  3. Stir in milk just until moistened.
  4. Coat a baking sheet with cooking spray.
  5. Drop dough by rounded tablespoonfuls about 2 inches apart onto baking sheet.
  6. Make a shallow well in center of each biscuit with back of spoon.
  7. Fill with 1 teaspoon cream cheese filling and 1 teaspoon fruit jam on top.
  8. Bake 10-15 minutes until golden.
  9. While warm, drizzle with glaze.
