Great as a breakfast waffle with butter and syrup or sausage gravy, as a bread for lunch or for dinner covered with creamed chicken or turkey!
- 2 cups WEM Cornbread Mix
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1 large egg
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 cup water
- In medium bowl, stir together Cornbread Mix and sugar.
- Make a well in the center and fill with egg, oil and water.
- Stir until mixed.
- Preheat waffle iron.
- Coat with cooking spray.
- Spoon in batter, cooking until golden brown.
Recipe Tips and Tricks
Serve with warm WEM Butter Pecan Syrup, honey or sorghum, maple syrup, jam or fresh fruit. Or serve as a dinner bread.
