WAR EAGLE CREEK TRAIL MIX
The more variety of nuts, seeds, and fruit you use boosts the flavor presence. I love the new (to our part of the country) dried mixed berries that have cranberries, cherries, and blueberries.

3 cps War Eagle Thick Rolled Oats
1 1/2 cp nuts or seeds
(almonds, pecans, walnuts, hazelnuts, pine nuts, sunflower seeds, or pumpkin seeds)
1 1/2 cp mixed dried fruit
(cranberries, blueberries, apple slices, papaya, mango, pineapple, cherries, banana chips, or the pre-packaged mixed berries or chopped dried fruit)
1 1/2 tsp
cinnamon, ground
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 cp
honey
1/4 cp butter

Lightly coat a large baking sheet with cooking spray. In a large bowl, mix together oats, nuts or seeds, cinnamon, and salt. Spread over baking sheet. In small bowl, heat honey and butter in microwave about 30 seconds or until melted.
Drizzle over the oat mixture.
Bake in a preheated 350 degree oven for 15 – 20 minutes, stirring occasionally. When stirring, especially bring the mixture from the edges to center. Keep a watch as you don't want to burn the mixture.
Remove from oven; mix in dried fruit. Let dry overnight; store in sealed plastic ziplock bags.
