Getting to War Eagle Mill

**ATTENTION** The historic War Eagle one-lane bridge will be closed for restoration from June 24 through mid-September. The Mill is open during this time, but you will need to take the detour described below if you are coming from the south (Fayetteville, Little Rock, etc.) If you are coming from the North on Hwy 12 (from Benton Co., Eureka Springs, etc.) you will be unaffected by the closure.     Good old fashioned, turn by turn directions:

  • From Springdale *bridge detour* - Take I-540 N to Exit 85. Turn right from ramp on Hwy 71 S. Turn left on Hwy 62B/Second Street. Turn right to Hwy 12 E and follow 6.8 miles. Turn right on War Eagle Road, and it is 1.5 miles to the mill.
  • From Fayetteville *bridge detour* - Take Hwy 45 N to Hindsville, where Hwy 45 makes a sharp left. Stay on Hwy 45 N 13.8 miles to Hwy 12 W. After 8 miles, turn left on War Eagle Road, and it is 1.5 miles to the mill.
  • From Bella Vista - Take I-540 S to Exit 86 turn left from ramp on Hwy 102 E. Turn right on Hwy 62B/Second Street. Turn left on Hwy 12 E. Follow Hwy 12 E 6.8 miles to War Eagle Road 98. It is 1.5 miles to the mill.
  • From Points South of Rogers - Take I-540 N to Exit 85 turn right from ramp on Hwy 71 S. Turn left on Hwy 62B/Second Street. Turn right to Hwy 12 E and follow for 6.8 miles. Turn right on War Eagle Road, and it is 1.5 miles to the mill.
  • From Huntsville *bridge detour* - Take Hwy 412 W. Turn right on Hwy 45 N. Turn left on Hwy 12 W and follow for 8 miles. Turn left on War Eagle Road and follow to the mill.
  • From Eureka Springs - take Hwy 23 S. Turn right on Hwy 12 W and travel about 14 miles. Turn left on War Eagle Road 98 and follow 1.5 miles to the mill.
  • From Branson *bridge detour* - Take Hwy 65 S. Turn right onto Hwy 86 W. Turn left onto State Hwy P South into Arkansas, which becomes AR Hwy 23 S. Then follow directions from Eureka Springs, outlined above.
